Newsletter No. 6 Term 4, November 2010 Contents: The first NCEA exams began yesterday, with AHeadStart students sitting Level 1 Maths, Level 2 Accounting and Level 3 Statistics. The team here at AHeadStart would like to wish everyone the best of luck with their NCEA exams over the next few weeks.
Do you have a question from your studies? Do you need some notes on part or all of a topic? Don't understand the NCEA answers? Those last minute questions can be very frustrating and slow down your study progress in the last few days before the exam. The team at AheadStart knows this from personal experience! Our aim at AHeadStart is to help you find success in NCEA.This means we are more than happy to help you via email at absolutely no cost. Even if you don't have regular tuition in that subject, or have regular tuition at all. We can answer questions, provide some resources or just provide you with some confidence that you are on the right track. Please, if you have any questions on anything relating to Maths, Science or Economics, please contact us via email at tutor@aheadstart.co.nz. We will get back to you within 12 hours of your email.
All the NCEA Revision Workshops have now finished. These went really well, with very positive feedback from students. Working with other students provides a comfortable study environment where the students can work on their own or in small groups, while having tutors available to answer questions that arise. In 2011, we will aim to provide workshops every weekend in Term 4 and possibly in Term 3, prior to school exams, if there is enough demand. The winner of the $100 Westfield voucher, for completing the evaluation forms was: Well done! Good luck to everyone for the rest of the NCEA exams. Melanie and the AHeadStart Team
