For self-motivated students wanting personalised one-on-one tutorials.
How it works:

Tutor works one-on-one with the student, in a postive learning envoronment.

Students bring along their own textbooks and class work they have questions about, or can purchase NCEA Exam Booklets* to use during the sessions (as well as at home).

The tutor answers student questions during the tutorial and provides study tips.
Who the Gold Plan is suitable for:

Students who prefer one-on-one tutorials, without distractions from others.

Student who are self-motivated learners, who have specific questions.

Students who want immediate and constructive feedback on their work.

Benefits of the Gold Plan:

Students may have weekly tutorials with the same tutor, maintaining continuity.

Students may have casual tutorials, so do not need to commit to weekly tutorials (although the same tutor and tutorial time may not always be available).
Limitations of the Gold Plan:

Tutors do not prepare tutorial content in advance, so students must come prepared with the content they wish to cover (see Platinum Plans).

Progress is not monitored with a subject checklist (see Platinum Plans).
Homework only provided on request. Completion is not monitored (see Platinum Plans).
No study support provided outside the session (see Platinum PLUS Plan).
*Booklets of practice NCEA exam papers must be purchased for $20 per subject.
The 10 lesson "Progress Update" includes:

One or two paragraphs prepared by the students tutor.

Comments on aspects of the students progress that the tutor believes are relevant.

Constructive suggestions that students can use to guide their preparation for NCEA.
*Please note that tutors can only comment on observations made in the tutorial, as they cannot follow the students classroom progress.
