Caleb

Kia ora! As you can see, I am Caleb and this is my second year tutoring with AHeadStart!

I hail from the North Island, spending my high school years at St John’s College in the sunny Hawke’s Bay. Here, my five years of hard work paid dividends. I gained NCEA level 1 with a merit endorsement, NCEA levels 2 & 3 with excellence endorsements, and was ultimately awarded Dux. Alongside my academic achievements, I was also responsible as a school prefect and house captain. I enjoy playing guitar, singing and reading. I am also a massive football fan and a proud Manchester City supporter!

Currently, I am in my fifth year of studying towards a bachelor of laws and a bachelor of commerce (in economics and finance). I have a strong understanding of the fundamentals and intricacies of NCEA English, Economics and Accounting (and even some maths where it’s needed). Although I have successfully completed papers in all of these areas at UC, both Economics and English are unreservedly my passions. In years 11-13, I earned 40 NCEA English credits with excellence!

I know first-hand how frustrating high school can seem at times and the commitment-juggling art that it encourages. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals holistically, habitually and healthily.
