Olivia W

Hey! I’m Olivia, a tutor of primary and intermediate Maths and English for AHeadStart. I am currently in my third and final year at the University of Canterbury studying a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Economics.

In 2017, I completed NCEA at Burnside High School with an excellence endorsement in level 1 and merit endorsements in levels 2 and 3. I was a reading tutor for a Year 9 student in my last year at Burnside which I really enjoyed. Working with AHeadStart has been a fantastic opportunity to keep tutoring.

In my free time I love hanging out with my friends and spending lots of time at the beach with my dog. I also love playing guitar and listening to music.

I have really enjoyed working with AHeadStart students over the past year to help them gain more confidence and achieve their goals. I will continue to do this by engaging each student with material that will spark their interest and by adapting my teaching style to suit each students’ needs.
