Eden

Kia Ora! My name is Eden, and I tutor English, Classical Studies, History and Social Studies, as well as primary school students in literacy and numeracy. I am currently at the University of Canterbury where I am studying a Bachelor of Arts; majoring in English and minoring in Classical Studies. After completing my BA, I plan on doing a postgraduate secondary school teaching course as my dream is to be a secondary school teacher. I am available to tutor in Christchurch or online.

I graduated from Villa Maria College in 2021, where I got an Excellence Endorsement in Level 1, and a Merit Endorsement in Level 2.

I’ll be honest, during high school I struggled to find a way of studying that would truly help me, and that was reflected in my studies. However, as I’ve grown, I have found what works for me and now I am truly passionate about the things I am learning about, as well as the work that comes alongside it. Tutoring others lets me help them work out what will work for them, as well as help them ignite a passion for the subject. 

Outside of studying and tutoring, I’m a big reader, and if I weren’t going to be a teacher I would love to be an author. I often write in my spare time, listen to music, and binge-watch random series. Often there will be times where you’ll find me at the gym as well, or watching movies with my friends. 

I completely understand the stress and frustration that comes with not understanding a topic, and because of that, I am willing to take the time to see what works for you and what doesn’t. I am very passionate about my subjects, and I am excited to work alongside you to help you reach your full potential. I look forward to hearing from you!
