Megan

Salvete! My name is Megan and I tutor English, History, Classical Studies and Social Studies. I am currently in my second year of majoring in History and minoring in Classics at the University of Canterbury (UC)

I received Merit endorsement in all NCEA levels. I also received Merit endorsement in English, History and Classical studies at all levels. During my Year 13 I participated in a UC star program and completed a first-year course. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and received a final grade of A-.

I was born in the United Kingdom and migrated to Nelson when I was five years old. My passion for teaching and learning about history was ignited from a young age when I read Ancient Celtic, Greek and Roman myths. Since discovering my passion, I have broadened my knowledge of History from the Wars of the Roses to the My Lai massacre. I specifically study European royalty and in my free time I enjoy doing research and writing essays. I am dedicated to instilling confidence in History and Classics for all those I tutor. I also look forward to igniting the potential passion for learning from the students.
