Isabel

Kia Ora! My name is Isabel and I tutor Biology, Chemistry, History, Mathematics, Science, Social studies and Spanish. I am in my third year of studying towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry and Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Canterbury

I graduated from Epsom Girls Grammar School in 2021 and achieved a Level Three Excellence Endorsement despite being in peak Auckland Covid-19 lockdown. 

I have been tutoring since high school, where I was a part of a peer tutoring program in which students can help other students excel in subjects. I have also been tutoring first year uni students in subjects that I took in my first year. I love tutoring others because I am super passionate about getting people psyched about learning, especially STEM subjects. 

I am an avid rock climber, reader and full time science nerd. I like to have fun when tutoring and that means making lessons engaging. School might not always do the best to prepare you to take exams or complete assignments but with a little extra help, anyone can succeed.

I look forward to helping my tutees excel in their studies and hopefully together we can have some fun.
