Lisa

My name is Lisa and I am a Chemistry, Japanese, Biology, Statistics and Art Design tutor at AHeadStart. This is my first year at University of Canterbury, studying towards a Bachelor of Science with Biochemistry as my major.

I graduated from Riccarton High School in 2017, achieving all NCEA levels with excellence endorsements. What had interested me in becoming a tutor was when a very passionate teacher had me grow from disliking chemistry to wanting a career in this subject. I believe it is important to enjoy what you are learning, and my charismatic nature will have students bring positivity along to a NCEA exam. 

My life outside of university consists of photography, travelling and keeping with my Japanese culture.

I look forward to helping students overcome difficulties by catering to suit each student’s needs, and to make learning enjoyable rather than a chore.
