Dylan

Hi, my name is Dylan and I tutor biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, and statistics.  This year, I am completing my BSc (Hons) in biochemistry and philosophy, in which I work on a human protein involved in aging and cancer and on moral philosophy.

Graduating from Ao Tawhiti in 2015, I achieved NCEA level 3 with excellence studying the subjects I tutor, as well as English.  While in year 11 and year 12, I completed three 1st year uni courses - in the philosophy of science, media studies, and astronomy.

I love each of the subjects I tutor; I hope not only to help you understand the concepts, but to convince you how deeply interesting they can be, especially as they apply to the real world.  "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious."

Outside of my studies, I enjoy hiking, reading, binging Netflix, and gaming.  While in high school, I travelled to Canada to compete in the Magic: the Gathering Pro Tour (though now my brother is a professional Overwatch player while I'm stuck in academia, so who's the real winner?).

Whatever your goals (whether it be to become a gamer, a professor, gain deeper understanding of your subjects, get out and go travelling as fast as possible, or just improve your grades), I look forward to helping you achieve them.
