Hey, my name is Harrison and I am in my fourth year at AHeadStart tutoring Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Statistics, Calculus and English. I am currently in my final year of a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Canterbury and have completed university level study in chemistry.
I graduated from St Andrew's College in 2016, gaining excellence endorsements in all three levels of NCEA, accumulating a total of 318 excellence credits altogether. I was awarded a scholarship in Statistics. At school I represented Canterbury in debating, and went on to the Canterbury Schools Debating Council and University of Canterbury Debating Society executives. I also enjoyed playing cricket, table tennis, and rugby.
At university, I have been awarded prizes for attaining top marks in first year law and 300 level insurance law. Last summer, I clerked at Russell McVeagh, a leading commercial law firm. I have experience in and am happy to tutor law.
I have remained invested for in tutoring over my four years at AHeadStart due to my strong value of learning. Both of my parents have spent their lives working in education, meaning I have inherited the value of learning from them and enjoy teaching. Consequently, I look forward to helping students understand and enjoy their studies at school.
