Brylea

Hi, I’m Brylea! I graduated from the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Classics and Philosophy, minoring in Art History in 2020. This year I will be studying towards Honours in Philosophy. I am excited to be tutoring English, Classics, and History with AHeadStart for my second year.

I am well acquainted with the NCEA curriculum and confident in my ability to teach it. I graduated from Riccarton High School in 2016 with excellence endorsements in NCEA levels 1, 2, and 3. I achieved various class excellence awards throughout high school, and won the Classical Studies cup, English cup, and History top prize in my final year. At university, I have maintained an A+ average and been awarded several scholarships.

I have always been passionate about what I study, and I love sharing my knowledge and academic skills with others to help them achieve their goals. I am patient and friendly, and happy to adapt my teaching method to suit my students’ particular learning styles. I believe that a bit of extra support from a good tutor can unlock every student’s potential for success.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing board games, and cooking. I also love to travel and have recently been on a university exchange to Copenhagen, Denmark.
