Tharusha

Heya! I'm Tharusha and I’m a Calculus, Physics, and Computer Science tutor. I’m currently in my first professional year of a Bachelor of Mechatronics at the University of Canterbury. 

Before moving to Christchurch, I lived in Hastings and attended Hastings Boys High School. I graduated from Hastings Boys High School in 2020 and was awarded The Hensman Family Cup For Proxime Accessit to Dux 1st Equal, Calculus Cup, and Computer Science Cup. I achieved all Excellence endorsements and Merit endorsements for all subjects. Therefore I have a good understanding of the subject material and can tutor others to attain a high level of success.

Through my studies at UC, I’m provided with a deeper understanding of maths, physics, and computer science.  I also have some skills in Design Visual Communication after doing it throughout high school. I have a real passion for the subjects I teach and aspire others to love them as I do. I like to build relationships with my students and help them thrive for their goals.

In my spare time, I can be found hiking in the hills with my friends but I also enjoy reading, character/landscape drawings, rock climbing, and enjoying a cup of tea in the evening.
