Jordan

Hi, I’m Jordan and I tutor primary school students as well as Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Science and Statistics to secondary school students.

I graduated from Southland Girls High School with Excellence endorsements in all levels of NCEA and took a gap year before moving up to Christchurch to study.

I completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology in 2017 and went on to work as an Asbestos Laboratory Technician for two years. I am now back at the University of Canterbury and am currently studying towards my second degree, majoring in Finance and Statistics.

In my spare time I enjoy going for day walks and to the 9Round kickboxing gym as well as baking, playing chess and boardgames. This year I hope to try out yoga, teach myself how to play the guitar and to also learn some Spanish.

I am passionate about helping others and guiding students to succeed in their schoolwork. I have two years of prior tutoring experience in which I tutored Mathematics and English to students aged 5-17, so I have an exceptional understanding of how to tailor sessions to suit the learning style, abilities and needs of each individual student. I also have an excellent grasp of both the primary school and NCEA curriculum so am willing to help with any and every question.
