Robin

Hi, my name is Robin and I tutor Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Science. Born in Germany I moved to New Zealand in 2012 where I attended Cashmere High School. Due to this background, I am bilingual allowing me to also tutor you in German if you would like to. In addition, I have a very good knowledge of French as I studied French throughout my time at High School.

At Cashmere High School I achieved excellence endorsement at NCEA Level 1 and merit endorsement at NCEA Level 2 and 3 across all my courses. Currently I am in my third and final year at Canterbury University studying towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry. My goal is to apply for medicine in 2019 through the graduate category. Due to the competitive nature of the entry into medicine, I very much value academic excellence which is reflected by the 7 A+ overall course marks which I gained across the 9 courses I took in my second year of my Bachelor in Biochemistry.

Apart from academical success I also pursue personal hobbies in music and sports. For 11 years I have taken regular violin lessons and have been the 1st violinist of the Cashmere High School orchestra in my last year of school. In sports my interests lie particularly in football which I have played for school, club and now mostly socially.

Having studied in education systems in both Germany and New Zealand and having such a wide range of interests in languages, music and sports, I believe that I will be able to relate to whatever background you come from and help you excel academically to achieve the goals that you are setting yourself.
