Hello to all! I’m Bridget and I am currently in my first year studying towards a Masters in Biochemistry at the University of Canterbury. I completed my BSc back in 2019 at the same University and have been working in the meantime with every intention of returning to uni this year. I’ll be available for tutoring general Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics. My knowledge of all these subjects extends predominantly right through to NCEA Level 3.
One clear attribute that I possess is that I have a strong passion for Science and all that this encompasses. This passion has been able to see me achieve an excellence endorsement in all three levels of NCEA at high school. I was also lucky enough to receive multiple awards for Science, Biology and Statistics over the years, with the greatest achievement being awarded Proxime Accessit in my final year of school.
One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve found has been to share my passion for learning with others. Just because there is work involved do not mean learning has to be a boring experience. I have witnessed the most positive learning responses happen through a good attitude and nurturing learning environment. Through tutoring a student I hope to not just expand and consolidate their knowledge but ignite an active interest in both Science and Mathematics. From experience, a fully engaged student is one that achieves well.
When I’m not studying, I have a love for the beautiful outdoors. From getting out on the water with a paddleboard to running in the Port Hills, you’ll find me out exploring this beautiful city most weekends.
I would love the opportunity to help students achieve their academic goals.Go Back
