Cassandra

Hi! My name is Cassandra and I tutor Statistics, Chemistry, Geography and Biology. I am a third-year student at the University of Canterbury where I am majoring in both Statistics and Biology. In the future I hope to pursue a career as a biological data analyst as it is a great combination of my interests.

I have experience with the NCEA curriculum, where I gained an excellence endorsement in levels 1, 2 and 3. I achieved excellence and merit endorsements for each subject I am tutoring, and I also gained NCEA Scholarship in Statistics, Geography, and Biology. Obtaining these results has required me to have a wide understanding and practical application of the subject material. Therefore, I am able to pass on well-rounded knowledge of internals and externals to a high level.

During my studies at Cashmere High School, as well as at University, I have spent time tutoring people at various levels and aided them to achieve their goals or higher. Due to this, I have learnt a personal and adaptable teaching style as everyone learns differently. I work closely with whoever I am teaching so I can understand your learning style to get the most out of our tutoring sessions. Also, helping increase your confidence is important for me as a tutor as overcoming self-doubt is essential to succeed academically.
