Charlotte

Hello! I am Charlotte, and I am currently in my second year studying Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Canterbury. Alongside this I am continuing to study languages, taking papers in Spanish and Russian. I am able to tutor Physics, Calculus, Mathematics, Science, Chemistry, Biology, English, Spanish, and Physical Education.

At school I achieved all levels of NCEA with Excellence, as well as achieving NCEA Scholarship in Calculus and Physical Education. In my final year I was also awarded a Diploma in Speech and Drama (ATCL) and named Proxime Accessit to the Dux. I love rising to new challenges so I am super excited about what the future will bring!

Outside of my academic work I spend a lot of my time involved in sports, playing Canoe Polo, Hockey, and competing in Surf Lifesaving competitions (in particular IRB Racing). I also love to go skiing (both downhill and cross country) and last year I competed in a cross country skiing half marathon, and the Routeburn Classic, a 32km mountain run. This year I am looking forward to competing in the Surf Lifesaving World Championships and improving my skills in my other sports.

I love helping people to achieve their goals, and tutoring is a great way to do this. Having recently gone through NCEA, I know how it works and know what is needed to succeed in it. Everyone has different learning styles and I believe that catering to students’ individual needs is really important, so it is something I strive to do as a tutor.

I look forward to working with you!
