Sean

Hi I'm Sean and am currently in my fourth year studying towards a Bachelor of Engineering with a major in Mechanical Engineering. With this I am hoping to get into a career in biomedical engineering. I grew up in North Canterbury and gained very good results at NCEA, with excellence endorsed in all three levels, which lead to me gaining a number of scholarships over the course of my university study. I also gained dux of Hurunui College, the speech cup, and the creativity in writing award.

Having recently come out of the updated NCEA system I know the material, the format, and what it takes to succeed. I have taken a wide array of subject and know the material well, so am able to easily explain concepts and improve your understanding. I love both learning and teaching, and I know how to make subjects interesting with real world examples. I think that often the only barrier to success in your subject is some misunderstanding about the material. As a tutor, I will bridge that understanding, build your confidence for both internals and externals, and help you get the grades you are looking for.

Outside of my studies, I am interested in basketball, rugby and tennis, but I love playing any sport and keeping fit. I am also part of a number of youth-voice related programmes. I am easy going and love socialising with friends and meeting new people.
