Hi! I'm Frank, I'm 20 years old and I tutor Mathematics and Physics through AHeadStart. I'm in my third year at UC doing a BSc in Psychology.

In high-school I achieved an award for best Physics student and got endorsements in NCEA 1, 2, and 3 for Mathematics, Physics, and other subjects. In high-school I was often the go-to guy to ask for advice due to my comprehensive understanding of the content and how much I enjoyed teaching! I've been tutoring for a year now and am proud of the positive relationships I built with my students, and how much I've helped them get excited about school, and achieve the grades they aimed for.

I know from experience and my studies that to learn effectively requires having a meaningful understanding of and engagement with the content and enjoying the learning process, rather than just memorising formulas and definitions. I come to tutorials keen to learn and teach and I encourage my students to creatively demonstrate their understanding, rather than simply write down or repeat what I say.

My main interests and hobbies are fitness, music, and the study of psychology.
