Hi, I’m Sean and I’m a third year student at the University of Canterbury majoring in Calculus and Statistics. I can tutor students in Mathematics, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Science, Japanese and junior English.
I graduated from Burnside High School in 2016 obtaining an excellence endorsement in NCEA level 1, 2, and 3. Additionally, I took Cambridge Mathematics in Year 11 and Year 12. During my time at high school, I also participated in a number of competitions including the Casio Senior Mathematics Competition, where I placed in the top 15 nationally, and in the Young Physicists Tournament where I placed 4th.
Outside of my studies, I have a great interest in board games especially chess. I often get together with others to play. I like reading books especially mystery and murder-mystery such as books written by Agatha Christie and Japanese writer Keigo Higashino. I also enjoy cooking, playing video games and playing the piano.
I enjoy helping others to learn and relish the feeling when someone understands something for the first time. I hope that through my tutoring, tutees are able to widen their understanding of the subjects. I look forward to meeting you all.
